Badminton

Badminton is a sport that uses the game of racquet-shaped tool to hit the shuttlecock to hit through the net that restricts the middle - the middle of the field. This game can be done by one person (single) or two (double). Various opinions say that the game originated in England badminton. At first, the game is played at a place called badminton, since that game is named badminton.

Thomas Cup championship still takes place every 4 years to date. While the international badminton championship for the first time women held in 1975 and the fight trophy from Mrs. H. S. Uber so called Uber Cup championship. Just like the Thomas Cup championship, Uber Cup championship is also held every 4 years and still continues till today.


Badminton game became known in Indonesia before the 1950's. Along with the rapid development of badminton in Indonesia, some associations have agreed to establish an organization which is abbreviated PBSI (All-Indonesia Badminton Association) which was established on May 15, 1951
